Homeschool Scratch Coding Club!
Let your child learn to code while having fun and making friends! Our Scratch Coding Club is a hands-on, in-person club where students create games and animations using Scratch - an easy, kid-friendly coding platform.
During the four sessions, kids will explore coding basics, share ideas, play games, and build cool projects together in a fun, encouraging environment.

When is Coding Club meeting?
This coding club is meeting on the following Mondays @2-4pm:

Is this a drop off or do parent's stay?
Either is fine! Parents are welcome to stay or drop off.
Can I use a tablet, or only a computer?
Please bring a laptop, MacBook, or Chromebook. While Scratch can be used on iPads and tablets, collaborating is much easier on a computer, so we strongly recommend bringing a computer.
Which coding software are you using?
We are using Scratch which was developed by MIT. Please create an account prior to your first class.
How do I sign up for a FREE Scratch Coding account?
Please visit https://Scratch.mit.edu to register for a FREE Scratch account.
Where is the coding club meeting?
The coding club is located at the Merville Home in Aberdeen, NJ. Once registered, the meeting address will be sent to you.
What does my child need to bring to coding club?
Please have each child bring:
1) Computer (please have it fully charged as plugs for charging are limited)
2) Snack & water (the second hour, the students will eat a snack and hang out)
What will the kids be doing during coding club?
The first hour, the kids will be coding on Scratch. This is a student led format where students can share ideas and collaborate with one another.
The second hour is snack and freeplay. The kids will socialize (off screen). Usually the kids like to play outside in the playground or do sports like soccer.
How do I pay?
You may choose to pay either cash or venmo. Please pay full amount ($20) up front as payment plans are not being offered at this time.
